What’s new?

The 2021 Elantra went through a rather comprehensive redesign this year, including new styling inside and out (a wider profile, more angled lines, and bold color options) and a range of new technologies. For the first time ever, Hyundai is offering a hybrid variant of the Elantra; Hyundai is also adding an N Line variant for sportier performance.

Some of the new features for the 2021 Elantra include the Hyundai Digital Key (a class exclusive), a 10.25-inch touch screen for navigation and infotainment (including available wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®), and an available Bose® premium sound system.

Three performance options

For 2021, the Hyundai Elantra will be available with its typical gasoline engine, striking a good balance between performance and efficiency. The Elantra will also be available as a hybrid, with the goal of 50 mpg combined or more (EPA ratings are not yet official). The N Line model will boast a turbo engine that will enhance performance to make it competitive with the Honda Civic Si and Volkswagen Jetta GLI.

Safety above all else

Among the SmartSense suite of safety technologies in the 2021 Hyundai Elantra are High Beam Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Highway Drive Assist.
